Who Is Country Comfort Water Heaters? The Country Comfort Story.
Hi, I’m Rhonda from Country Comfort Water Heater. Often, I hear, especially when exhibiting at the Caravan and Camping shows…. “Who is Country Comfort”? Well let’s face it, there are so many portable lpg water heaters on the market these days, it’s hard to know who’s who at the zoo…. so, I’m going to tell you a little story.
My husband Steve and myself are the owners, importers, staff, family business, technical advice, customer service etc. of the Country Comfort Portable LPG Water Heater. We are the original, the first certified portable water heater of its kind, that was launched on the Australian market back in July 2012. We started the process of certification back in 2009 when we realized there was a need for a portable hot shower for when you were camping or in the caravan. Well, to tell you the truth, it was from me having a whine that I had to keep going to the amenity block where we had our on-site caravan, and I was always leaving my shampoo/conditioner.
Also, I was totally over running in and out of the cubicle putting coins into the slot to keep having a decent hot shower. So that’s where it all started, and the Country Comfort was conceived, and the rest is history.
Once we got the approval from the Australian Gas Association, it was crazy times. Country Comfort was born. I can remember we were on our way to the Rural Scene Mid North Coast Caravan & Camping show to exhibit for the first time this great product. By the time we did our 5-hour drive, constantly on the phone and our 3 days of exhibiting we had sold our first container. I can remember sitting down at the end of the weekend enjoying a very well deserved icy cold Corona, thinking to myself, how excited we were to be able to bring onto the market a great product that so many people could feel like they were now glamping!!
Over the next couple of years, of course, another portable water heater appeared on the market and they learned well from us as they used to sell our product and were our distributor in Melbourne. However, that is business and we always wished people well.
So, these days having a wide variety of portable hot shower systems to choose from, I personally think that you need to see and know who you are dealing with.
